Gua Bao Buns

MasterFoods’ tasty little Gua Bao Buns filled with crunchy salad and succulent pork with crispy pork crackling.
Ingredients
- 12 Gua Bao Buns
- 500g cooked roast Pork Loin with crackling/ Pork Belly
- 80g Chinese Cabbage/Savoy Cabbage, finely shredded
- 80g Red Cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 medium Carrots, peeled and shredded
- 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- A handful of unsalted peanuts, toasted and crushed
- Coriander for garnish

Method
- Preheat oven 200c
- Pickle the red cabbage by mixing the vinegar, sugar and salt and pour over – give everything a good mix and leave to ferment – when ready to assemble drain the liquid and pat cabbage onto a paper towel)
- Steam the buns as instructed
- To refresh the crackling from the pork and cook for 5 minutes until it crisps and bubbles, remove and break, cut into 3 cm pieces
- Thinly slice the pork
- Assemble with all the fillings – pork slices, carrots, cabbages, peanuts and coriander
- Squeeze mild Thai chilli sauce over
