Crispy Squid with Lime Hollandaise

Give your all day favourite squid a crispy zing to it thanks to the team at Unilever


  • 250g of Self-Raising Flour
  • 4 x Eggs
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 5g Salt
  • 5g Pepper
  • 600 g Corn kernels, drained
  • 40g Chives, chopped
  • 3 x finely diced Spanish Chorizo
  • 100g crumbled Fetta
  • 4 x ripe Avocado
  • 20 g of Thai Lime Powder
  • 1lL of KNORR Garde d’Or Hollandaise Sauce 1L
  • 500ml of American Tomato Chilli Relish GF


  1. Preheat deep fryer to 190 degrees.
  2. Take squid tubes and split tube. Clean and score. Cut into strips.
  3. Take a medium bowl and make the batter. Sieve both flours and bicarb together. Add in ice water until desired consistency.
  4. In a small pot place the KNORR Garde d’Or Hollandaise Sauce and the Lime powder. Mix together and heat slowly.
  5. Coat the squid strips in the batter and then slowly place in the deep fryer. Cook until golden brown.
  6. Let drain and serve.
